An outdoor kitchen in Boca Raton or Parkland lives outside every day of the year. The materials that look great in a showroom are not always the ones that handle UV, salt air and afternoon storms, so the planning conversation should start with durability, not style.
The base is the foundation of everything. Concrete block or marine-grade framing clad in porcelain, stacked stone or wood-look tile will not rot, swell or rust. Wood framing wrapped in cement board is cheaper on day one and expensive in year four.
For counters, granite and quartzite are the safe choices outdoors. Most quartz products are not rated for direct sun and will yellow or crack. Choose a honed or leathered finish if the counter is in full sun, since it shows less wear and stays cooler to the touch.
Appliances should be 304-grade stainless at minimum, and anything with gas, water or power needs a proper, permitted run. Plan the sink, fridge and trash pull-out around how you actually cook: prep zone, cook zone, serve zone, in that order.
Finally, tie it into the rest of the yard. A covered patio, a fire table and a renovated pool deck planned at the same time share one scope and one schedule, and the finished backyard reads as a single design instead of three separate projects.
